Meet Chris

Chris and Ashley Tierinni are partners in every sense of the word — in family, in faith, and in their shared commitment to East Hartford. Married for 11 years and raising four children — Braydon, Dakota, Elliot, and Filomena — they have built a home grounded in gratitude, purpose, and service. The same values that guide their family life shape the work they do together for their community.

Chris is a lifelong East Hartford resident, shaped by the example of his parents, Joe and Dana, who instilled in him the importance of kindness, humility, and giving back. As Vice President of his family’s construction company, he carries forward a legacy built on hard work and integrity. His dedication to public service includes serving as an elected member of the East Hartford Board of Education, Justice of the Peace, MDC Commissioner, Planning and Zoning Commissioner, Inland/Wetlands Commissioner, and Redevelopment Agency Member. Across every role, Chris is known as a thoughtful, steady leader who listens first and puts the community before politics.

Ashley is the heart of the Tierinni family and a force for good in East Hartford. A devoted mother, East Hartford Lions Club member, and volunteer at the town food pantry, she lives out the values passed down by her parents, Mike and Julie — compassion, service, and love without conditions. Whether supporting families in need, helping organize community efforts, or cheering from the sidelines at softball and baseball games, Ashley leads with warmth, empathy, and purpose.

Together, Chris and Ashley work side by side to support local families. They help lead the weekend backpack program to ensure children have meals outside of school and actively support the East Hartford Farm to School initiative to connect students with fresh, healthy food. Their leadership reflects the same lessons they teach their children every day: show up, care for others, and leave your community better than you found it.

The Tierinnis are more than residents of East Hartford — they are citizen-leaders, advocates for families, and partners committed to building a stronger, more compassionate community for every neighbor.
